Lip filler
Lip fillers can do so many things to your lips, but we always want to highlight your best features. You and your therapist find out what you envision and what you can achieve. Regardless of whether you want more volume, a more defined contour, a small lift, reduce lines at the edge of the lips, add moisture or correct distortions/asymmetry, we can solve this together.
You are always offered a check-up 14 days after the treatment so that we are sure that the results will be the best possible. At this hour we can make simple corrections which are of course included in the price.

*Pain: We use anesthetic cream, as well as anesthetic in the filler to ease discomfort and pain during treatment. The degree of pain is very individual and will also vary depending on the technique and how many stitches the treatment requires.

Tear trough
This area is treated with Tear Trough treatment and mesotherapy. The treatment will give you a fresher and more natural look.
The treatment consists of placing a soft filler against the bone near the eye socket and lifting the sphincter around the eye towards the skin, so that the "sunken" disappears. This can also help with pigmentation and dark circles.
What many practitioners do wrong with this type of filler is to apply the filler too superficially, and possibly use the wrong type of filler. This can result in several complications that typically occur a couple of weeks after the treatment. The side effects can be swelling and "sinus symptoms" with pressure under the eyes, visible irregularities and the Tyndall effect - where the filler becomes visible as "sausages" under the eyes.

Chin
When treating the chin, it is often natural to treat what is called the "prejowl sulcus" or "the depression" that can form in front of the area called the "hamster hang". These areas can be treated simultaneously, or separately.

Oral commisure
If the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth down are overactive, treatment with Muscle Relaxing Injections is indicated, but if the corner of the mouth is due to loss of volume and support of the lower lip, treatment with fillers will be the correct treatment.

In the normal aging process, possibly if you have lost weight quickly, you may experience that a "cavity" is formed in the temple, or that the area "falls in a little". For most people, this is a sign of aging, and many want to avoid this.
Filler treatment in the temple is an advanced procedure and there are many large blood vessels (arteries) in the area that it is important to avoid. Therefore, remember to examine the competence of the practitioner before taking such treatment.

Who is suitable for fillers?
Treatment with fillers is indicated both to replace lost volume in the face to restore the natural glow and elasticity of the skin, and to shape the face and highlight the facial contours you want.
How do fillers work?
Fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is a sugar molecule found naturally in the skin. The molecule binds water and the jelly-like consistency of the filler gives the skin a natural glow and elasticity. The filler will also replace lost volume in the face, or help shape or emphasize the parts of the face you want.
What can be expected after treatment?
The result is visible immediately after treatment, but the filler takes some time to adapt so that the final result comes after a couple of weeks. Most treatments have little downtime/recovery time, but some puncture marks and some bruising can be expected.
How much does a treatment cost?
The price of a treatment depends on the type of filler you choose and how much is used. We at Aesthetic Studio Oslo want to provide a complete treatment so that the result is the best possible and that you will be satisfied after the treatment. That is why we offer "treatment packages" where the filler is slightly cheaper per ml.
How often do you need a refill?
The filler manufacturers state a duration of between 6 and 18 months, but we find that there is great variation between customers within this period. We therefore generally recommend an annual refresher treatment if you wish to maintain the result.
Does it hurt?
The degree of pain varies between the treatments, but most people experience the treatments as painless or pain level 1-2 out of 10. We of course offer anesthesia to those who wish it.
What fillers do we use?
We use fillers from Genefill, Belotero, Juvederm, Restylane and Revolax.
There are many manufacturers of fillers and some are more and less well-known. We have selected our favorites based on duration, low tendency to lump, and how they are to work with.
Can you combine different manufacturers of fillers?
It is perfectly fine to combine fillers from different manufacturers.
When can I go back to work?
You can go straight to work after most treatments with fillers, but it varies from person to person and depends on which area you want treatment. The lips are often swollen for 2-7 days after treatment, while treatment for the cheekbones and jawline usually does not cause swelling or bruising.
What are the potential side effects and complications?
Possible side effects include temporary reactions at the injection site, e.g.

- Firmness/unevenness
- Bruises
- Discomfort
These reactions can occur immediately after or after treatment and can last for 1-2 weeks. Lip injections may cause more swelling and bruising due to the lip's physiology. With all punctures through the skin barrier, there is always a risk of infection. Fillers can migrate, and however low there is a risk of filler embolus, blindness, granuloma, skin necrosis when injected into a blood vessel.
